We are commited to support
deprived and vulnerable groups

Centre for Youth and Literacy Development was established as a Community-Based Organization (CBO) in 2011 in response to the growing marginalization of deprived and vulnerable groups and communities in Ghana.
After three years of collaborative work with many NGOs and government institutions like the Muslim Family Counseling Service (MFCS), StreetInvest UK, Ghana Health Coalition, Asokore Mampong Municipal Assembly and Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly it has been registered under the companies’ code of 1963 with the Registrar General Department and certify as a non-governmental organization by the Social Welfare Department.

Our Mission & Vision

The Centre for Youth and Literacy Development strives to contribute to a world where the socio-economic, cultural, and political rights of all people, be they young or old, women, disabled, rural or urban based, are recognized, supported, protected, developed, promoted and acted on, to ensure their proper growth and development. In line with this vision, CYLiD is committed to the design and implementation of projects and programs that seek to integrate vulnerable young women and girls, and street children into the national development agenda and secure for them decent and sustained livelihoods.

Industry Goal

CYLiD's primary goal is to promote the general well-being and development of Vulnerable and Underprivileged Groups of women, young and old in Ghana, and to be a driving force against poverty and inequality by designing and implementing projects/programs as well as activities that would empower vulnerable and underprivileged groups to facilitate the spate of their economic empowerment, transformation, and development.
